Dr Chandra is an experienced ophthalmologist specialising in the treatment of glaucoma and cataracts. He provides personalised, evidence-based care for a wide range of eye conditions and is passionate about preserving and improving patients’ vision.
Completing his medical degree at the University of New South Wales, Dr Chandra pursued specialist ophthalmology training followed by fellowship training in cataract surgery at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne.
His experience spans Australia and internationally, having also completed a general ophthalmology fellowship in Sunshine Coast and a glaucoma fellowship at the world-renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital in London where he applied the latest surgical techniques and technologies to manage complex glaucoma cases.
He holds a public appointment at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, where he also teaches and mentors ophthalmology trainees.
He is currently co-authoring a textbook chapter on glaucoma surgery, and has previously published numerous research papers and presented at national and international conferences.
